Description Lada (ВАЗ) Granta

Lada Granta - front-wheel drive B-class sedan. The restyled version (the so-called "new Grant") has been produced since 2018. The reformed car received a new "front end" in the X-shaped style of the family Lada Vesta, which entailed the installation of a new hood, front fenders, headlights, grille and bumper. 

The updated "Grant" completely cannibalized the Lada Kalina line, while adopting the interior of the latter. At the same time, the models highlighted a new dashboard, and the front panel was decorated with decorative inserts. A different handbrake handle was also installed, the upholstery of the seats was updated, wider head restraints and a rear sofa with enhanced lateral support were used. Finally, in the top trim levels, the driver's seat now has the long-awaited height adjustment.

The range of powertrains and gearboxes remained the same. The restyled Grant is equipped with VAZ 1.6-liter gasoline engines: 8-valve 11186 (87 hp, 140 Nm), as well as 16-valve 21127 (106 hp, 147 Nm) and 21126 (98 hp). s., 145 Nm). 87 and 106 hp engines combined with a five-speed "mechanics" and a 5-speed "robot" AMT (only 106-horsepower unit), and 98-horsepower - with a 4-speed "automatic" of the Japanese company Jatco.

On cars with "mechanics" and "robot" the gear ratio of the main pair has been increased from 3.7:1 to 3.9:1. In addition, the “robot” has a low-speed mode useful in traffic jams (the car starts moving when the brake pedal is released), the noise level has been reduced and a more durable clutch has been installed. In addition to this, the AMT box has added a "Sport" mode with faster gear changes.

The basic Standard package includes a driver's airbag, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS, a folding rear seat, light tinted windows, and audio preparation.

The next equipment - Classic - boasts improved sound insulation, an on-board computer, an external power button for unlocking the trunk, power windows for the front doors, and a steering wheel height adjustment. In addition, the Optima package is available for the Classic package, which includes heated exterior mirrors and air conditioning.

The next level of equipment is Comfort. It includes a front passenger airbag, front seat belts with pretensioners, heated front seats, power and heated exterior mirrors, air conditioning, an audio system, exterior mirrors with turn indicators, body-color mirror and door handle housings, body-color side door moldings and a mirror in the passenger's sun visor.

The most equipped LADA Granta is the Luxe version. It includes such options as an alarm, fog lights, climate system, fabric inserts in the door upholstery, height adjustment of the driver's seat and front seat belts, heated windshield, rear power windows, 15-inch alloy wheels. For the Luxe, the Prestige package of options is available, which includes an electronic stability control system (ESC), traction control (TCS), hill start assist (HSA), parking sensors, rain and light sensors.

"Lada Granta" is produced at the AvtoVAZ plant in Togliatti.
